My goombas Jay and Ed just released yet another moldy oldy bit of lost footage. In this piece, Jay interviews a follower of Matreya, a new age religious figure who can appear sometimes as a crow or a poppinjay or as a ruby falling out a young girl’s toe. Watch and enjoy the strangeness:
My goombas Jay and Ed found this piece of old footage where they interviewed Rug the Clown, entertainer of children at Portland’s Saturday market. Rug is the embodiment of Nothingism and surrealism wrapped in a simple multicolored ribbon. Why Jay is amused by the Rug I’m not sure but I just want to take him home and serve him a hot cocoa.
Mama Mia! I thought I was the only one of greatness in this town of Portland! But I have learned that I share that honor, thanks to my goombas, Jay and Ed, who were driving around the other day and ran into the following…
I, Olaf Gambini, have hired a dirty, dirty Scotsman to see just how one can manipulate and control the movements of another through the use of sleazy, naughty images. Watch how people fall prey to this evil little man and his box of sick, raunchy filth.
I, Olaf Gambini got more than I bargained for when I shot my "Arrow de Amore" at an irate woman in the Anka art gallery. This Italian Cherub gets a big surprise when the woman is smitten and then attacked me in a mad fit of passion!
Gambini Brings VD to the Pearl! Olaf Gambini’s Controversial Performances Return to Portland’s Pearl District
Notable fine art sensationalist, Olaf Gambini, brings a Valentine’s Day themed performance to the Portland’s Anka Gallery and Tribute Gallery to celebrate First Thursday and raise funds for Sisters of the Road.
Portland, Oregon, January 19, 2010
Anka Gallery and Tribute Gallery welcome international art world gadabout, Olaf Gambini, for a Valetine’s Day First Thursday performance that will, once and for all, put an end to love. Gambini emerges from a month’s long vacation in Buenos Aires with the fiery passion that will tango into the hearts of even the most frigid… and possibly explode them. As an expression of his tender and romantic side, Gambini will take to the streets of Portland and make an offering of his creative soul. The artist’s soul is notorious for being romantic, quixotic, hot-blooded and unpredictable. Gambini, being the most notorious of artists, has promised to produce an emotional catharsis so true and so raw that every experience thereafter will seem hopelessly lifeless and grey in comparison.
Gambini will be performing and distributing sweet treats along with the puppet "Lil’ Baby G" as Cupid, flying cherubs and Gambini’s Gang of Romantic Misfits at the Tribute Gallery (6:30pmish) and then Anka Gallery (7:30pm) on February 4th, 2010. There will also be a kissing booth to raise funds for The Sisters of The Road, an organization committed to help elevate the lives of the Homeless. So come on by, bring a loved one and wear asbestos.
